A legendary snowboarding company that needed a mythical approach to their marketing.

Our project was to differentiate Winterstick from the rest of the competition by focusing on the genuine joy of the ride.

Campaign # 1.

Based on the market insight that people want to feel included in something that feels exclusive.

The ask was to drive sales by creating brand love and telling Winterstick’s story as the OG snowboarding manufacturer. It’s founder is rumored to have crafted and ridden the first-ever “snow-stick” and for Winterstick’s 50th anniversary, they deserved an evergreen marketing scheme that honored their legacy and would match their no-nonsense, punk attitude.

These two campaigns were never realized due to lack of funding in post-production, but nonetheless exemplify the creative efforts of myself and the rest of my team of interns at The VIA Agency, an award-winning marketing agency in Portland, Maine.
