Growing up on a farm, darning and embroidery has always been a part of my life. Starting with my backyard wedding in a small fishing village on a Maine peninsula, I utilized those practical skills to make pieces that will be forever woven into our family story.

Deeply inspired by my move to Paris in 2021, where I worked as a nanny, window-shopped haute-couture and perused boutique textile shops, I named my store Les Midinettes. They were the working class seamstresses, milliners and needleworkers who laboured for the haute-couture houses of Paris. Never wealthy, but surrounded by luxury, they always had a stoic, refined look to them. Respectable ladies working for their own money.

I started this shop to offer my customers completely bespoke pieces for the most precious days of their lives. As mostly a hobby and a way to keep my hands moving, illustrating and stitching, my only goal is for my pieces to remind you of your love, your family, the friends that have supported you, and the healing power of a nourishing meal at a well-dressed table.
