I'm a wine professional and writer for community-based, mission-driven clients. My work wends vibrant experiences, invokes a dollop of nostalgia, and activates our inherent curiosity as social creatures.

I'm currently a freelance writer and an apprentice at a fine wine shop, where I write educational and marketing materials.

In my free time I read Italian novels, sauna, watch French films and enjoy the wines I write about.

Wine Wise

2024 Summer Season

Wine Wise is an events company in Portland, Maine. Summertime has them sailing the coast of Portland offering wine tastings on the deck of a 74’ sailboat. I helped them grow from events company to premiere wine education resource; greatly expanding their reach on social media channels and further cementing them as the business that restaurants want to partner with in their little but mighty food and beverage community.

Messy Nessy Chic

2021 – Current

Messy Nessy Chic is a blog, social media  phenomenon, and travel guide publisher. I worked in their little Parisian office in the 5th as a Editorial Assistant, and have worked freelance for them since returning to the states. I wrote, researched, edited, proofread, photographed Parisian boutiques, trespassed down secret passageways, inspired curiosity, acted as a personalized travel concierge and managed social media for Messy Nessy Chic.

Etc.

1999–Current

Outside of work, I explore tiny islands off the coast of Maine, run, sew and embroider clothing, ride my bicycle to the beach, practice vinyasa yoga, attend our local bathhouse, read non-work related writing (the London Review of Books, Italian novels, poetry, feminist criticism), make my nephews laugh, and write short films for my videographer partner. I run a Cinema Club in Portland, which is a resource for local film information and hosts events. I’m always available for a coffee.
